# Liquidation Policy

Espresso Ex upholds a maintenance margin requirement of 0.5% and imposes a liquidation fee of 0.05% on positions that are subject to liquidation. When a trader's position is liquidated, a charge of 0.05% of the margin is levied as the liquidation fee. The residual margin, post-liquidation, is then reimbursed to the trader.
